  • cough, muco-purulent sputum, hemoptysis, recurrent sinusitis, CT shows dilated peripheral airways
  • cough with thick green/yellow sputum, hemoptysis if severe, resp infections, hx of CF, kartagener
  • wheezing, crackles
  • sputum culture (infection), CT: dilated peripheral airways
  • no cilia (CF, kartagener), can't clear mucus, airway gets infected, clogged, dilated
  • antibiotics (tobramycin for pseudomonas, aztrenam for g-), watch for right heart failure
